Ask around about a symbolic chinese food and you will most probably get Zongzi(粽子) or BaZhang(肉粽) as your answer. In the past, it was consumed as a means to daily life. But today in Singapore, it transforms from it's humble roots into an icon of during Dragon Boat Festival period. Why do i say so? Think Abalone, Foie Gras or Unagi that is packed into this humble food item.
