The Catlins
The Catlins are located on the southern most region of the south island of New Zealand. Far from the city, it is a hidden gem of New Zealand's nature where lush hills of pastureland span across the horizon. Other than the beautiful hillscape, you will also be greeted by views of wind-shorn trees, moody skies, magnificent shores and cliffs.
Nugget Point Lighthouse is one of the most iconic landmarks along the beautiful Otago Coast. Geographically located on a high cliffside, the lighthouse built short. On the short walk in, you will be greeted by the lighthouse as it sits idly in the distance as you pass by shrubs and shrubs which have been shaped by the wind.
Purakaunui Bay, Purakaunui Falls, Skylark B&B
Sheeps play an important role in the Kiwi industry. Being a global leader in sheep farming, the scale in which it unfolds before your eyes is nothing but breathtaking. As much as we see them as food however, upon getting an intimate experience with them, I realised that there was actually more that meets the eye. Look close enough, you'll find that within all these free roam, sheep and lamb can always be found paired together. Protecting this parental bond is crucial in the upbringing of lamb as they nurture the next generation.
Queenstown
Located amidst the Fjordlands, Queenstown is central when you are traveling through southern New Zealand. Despite the size, you can find that it has a heart as large as any cities around. It is also the hub for recreational activities.
Milford Sound
Living up to it's name as the 8th wonder of the world, its beauty is surreal and humbling at the same time. For footage of penguin and dolphins, check out the video!
Homer Tunnel
The journey into Milford Sound is just as magical as you dive through the Darran mountain range.  Amazing mountain range and magical scenery.
Te Anau
Not just a lake featuring glowworm caves, this is the gateway to the Fjordland but hold its own ground in being a place which is just as vibrant. It is also the largest of the southern glacial lakes.
Lake Wakatipu
The third largest lake in New Zealand. Magnificent. Totally magnificent.
Glenorchy
More famously known for one of the location of Lord of the Rings, Glenorchy is a diverse environment home to numerous people, farms & scenery. It's such a waste thou. not coming here with a 4 wheel drive. Definitly a place to visit on my next visit.
Mt Cook
Christchurch
Having only heard from the news and videos online about the devastating quake that laid ruin to the city, the experience felt even more surreal to me as i walk through the city to explore the sights. This is one of the few experience where we will get to appreciate the safety of home. But it's still none the less just as much an experience.
Christchurch Botanic Gardens
The Amazing South Island
This trip around the beautiful southern part of the southern island have left a significant impression on me. From appreciating the local recycling culture to appreciating the fact that if we were to not take responsibility for our waste management, all these beauty might one day be lost. New Zealand is definitly a place which have taught me some life lessons.
